Taras Shevchenko Park (Kyiv)

Located opposite the main university building. Area - 5.4 hectares. Founded in the 60's. 19. (gardener K. Christian) on vacant lots and named the university. Once installed in the park (1896) monument to Nicholas I called Nicholas. Rectangular area of the park is divided in two main perpendicular alleys (axes) and additional diagonal; beautiful bypass ring road. In the middle of the park in 1939, a monument to Taras Shevchenko.
