Ex elementary school in which classrooms surrounded a central gymnasium/auditorium/cafeteria. This makes it work out very well as a community center that can handle a wide variety of kid's programs aimed at different age groups, and handling a lot of kids, in an astonishingly small space.

Saturday night is contra dance night, and I think there are well over 100 regulars. Hard to believe, isn't it?--looking at the size of the building, and considering that there's 6 classrooms, an adminstration office, a deep stage, and a kitchen, as well.

Astonishingly, Parks and Rec is threatening to close this outstandingly useful, heavily utilized building. Too dowdy for a modern, jet age Parks and Rec, I guess.
