Closed 1970 after fire destroyed most buildings. One of the last of Bergen County's many sand-bottom swimming holes. An amusement park, meant to draw weekend riders from the nearby Edgewater trolley line, operated here from 1926 to 1929, when it too burned down.
Used as stand-in for fictional "Hackleberry State Park" in TV's "The Sopranos."
