Talbehat is a Nagar Panchayat city in district of Lalitpur, Uttar Pradesh.
The Talbehat Nagar Panchayat has population of 14,176 as per report released by Census India 2011.
TALBEHAT is a sacred place.50 km southeast of Jhansi and less than 40 km from Lalitpur.
Talbehat is a collection of ancient temples and beautiful gardens. There is
a great pond(TALAB),which is 8.0 km long covers this place so it's called as TALBEHAT.
The streets of TALBEHAT are always crowded with day trippers.
There are 2 very ancient temple:-
(1)MAA Gauri Bhagbati Temple:-This temple is dedicated to
Maa Gauri Bhagbati.Inside the Temple are shrines to Shiva,
his wife Parvati, son Ganesh, and Shiva's vehicle Nandi
(2)Hajaria Mahadev:-As Name implies this temple is dedicated to Lord Shiva. This place is 2 km away from Talbehat

Matatila Dam is very near from talbehat. It has many gardens and Temples.

  • It is good place to see the nature with rare species, birds of all kinds form India & western parts of world. The Talbahat pond has wetland for birds a feeding ground. You must come with your camera & binocular to capture the movement of life with nature and see the action of beautiful birds on wetland ground below on fort of Talbahat . Same time also visit garden & Dam at matatila. The beauty of Betwa river is, it is pollution free with natural clean water which is very rare in India river now days. Talbahat is well connoted with Rail line Delhi- Mumbai & Delhi -Chennai line & by road network it is on national highway No. 26 north -south corridor. Is is good place to see The universe, Sky, planets. The advantage of observing astronomy in night time due to local climate & no light pollution. I hoe you like it, Good luck.......

  • Talbehat is a tahsil of Lalitpur Distt. in UP state (India) and it is famous place for historic fort of Raja Mardan Singh, Talbehat Talab, Hazaria Mahadev, Matatila Dam, Cantonment Board etc. 1 more thing I would like to mention here that in "Boating in Talbehat Talab", This type of boating is not available in near by cities.
