Treece is a city in Cherokee County, Kansas. The population was 149 at the 2000 census and only 2 in 2012 after most residents accepted an EPA evacuation plan.

Along with neighboring Picher, Oklahoma, Treece will soon be completely abandoned due to poisoning of the water tables and underground collapses from lead and zinc mining activity.
