This is where freight locomotives are hosteled, and car repairs performed for their next trips. Mostly CSX & CONRAIL power is here, but every once in a while there are BNSF, Norfolk Southern or UP to be seen. The outside loop you see is for turning power around if a certain direction is desired. Also the tracks to the top of the car house is the intermodal trash loading area for shipping municipal waste to southern states. Access to the area is controlled by calling to the engine house to get permission in. The tracks to the right of the engine house and trash loading area are referred to as "the farm".
