Sprawling up-coming township area. Known for weighbridge, heavy commercial trucks stopover joint and famous nyama choma. The interior area leading to Syokimau and Katani locations are considered to be the future Lavington, Runda and Kahawa Sukari of Nairobi judging from the construction of palatial homes and infrastructural planning of Mavoko Municipal Council.

  • Mlolongo is in Mavoko municipality which is one of the richest municipalities in Kenya, yet there is no single municipal school in Mlolongo. Private schools have a booming business at Mlolongo as most parents fear taking their children to the only public school(mlolongo) primary because the children have to cross the busy Mombasa road. Even Mlolongo Primary was biult on yearly basis by parents who had settled here in the 1990's. Later some well wisher made donations that enabled permanent structures to be put up. The school has more than 100 pupils per class.
