Zinc ore (Zincblende-Sphalerite) was mined here (Hl. Johann Baptist Zeche) by Count of Palffy-Erdody and H.D. Lindenheim at the second half of 19th century, in the bedrock of the old Silurian skarns in the neighbor of granite outcrop on south (Hurka).
