The Gniew Castle, built at the turn of the 14th century, was the first Teutonic castle, located on the east bank of the river Vistula. Rebuilt in 1974 and particularly in 1992, is now one of the greatest tourist attractions of the south-eastern Pomeranian region called Kociewie.
