  This place was used to be food/grains storage place when Afzalkhan stayed in Wai before getting killed by Shivaji Maharaj on Pratapgadh fort. Hence this place gets its name "kot" which is derived from "kothar" means storage place for food grains.

  It is very beautiful and clean area but "some" part of kot is not good otherwise it is wonderful place
