The church of Kalvola was built in 1919 - 1921 to replace the old church that dated back to 1802 but that was destroyed in a fire in 1918. The new church has been built of well-known construction material, granite from Kalvola. The hall church was designed by a famous architect Ilmari Launis who was specialised in designing churches. The pipe organ has been constructed in 1924.
