Jokioinen lacework church is a wooden cruciform structure completed in 1631. It was probably built by Johan Jesperinpoika Kruus. Nothing remains of the original building except the timber walls and the graves under the floor. Its present decorative appearance and the bell tower attached to the steep roof date from 1862 and were from drawings by Häme provincial architect G.A. Edelfelt. The church's Dalecarlian style, beautiful bell tower was built at the time the church was founded. The altar was designed in 1931 by architect Rafael Blomstedt. Instead of an altarpiece there is a wooden sculpture of the crucifixion, dated to the 1650s. Many of the objects on display in the church were donated in the 18th and 19th centuries.
