Now just a nondescript UCSB office building, it is most famous (or infamous) as home of the Bank Of America building that was burned by rioters in the 1970 Isla Vista riots.

It went on to house music/nightclubs The Graduate and later The Anaconda Theater in the '80s and '90s. In this capacity, it was known for attracting many national touring acts who typically played in much larger venues. Notable concerts included Alice In Chains, Faith No More, Public Enemy, Green Day and Gwar.

As The Anaconda theater, it was primarily as a punk and metal club, playing host to countless local and lesser-known touring acts in addition to the bigger names. The Anaconda would typically book many local bands as opening acts for well-known headliners. Some local acts who played here and went on to varying levels of national success include Toad The Wet Sprocket, Ugly Kid Joe and Lagwagon.
