interesting place, historical layer / disappeared object
After the new stretch of Interstate 5 was built (replacing the four lane highway 99), Pyramid Lake was built. A section of the old highway was submerged when the resevoir was filled. On the north side, the highway is still used as access to the boat launch. The last trace of the highway ends near the entrance gate. On the south side, however, the dam obscures most traces of the road.
