Subdivision. Originally this bluff was the narrowest crossing point from the northern to the southern bank of San Dieguito River when
the "hundred-year-flood" inundated the entirely valley in 1916. Farmers were forced to drive their livestock here to cross the river and
thus the name remains to this day.
