Exhibit of a decommissioned Royal Malaysian Navy Patrol Boat ex- KD Sri Terengganu - this was one of the many 31.4 meter patrol boats once used by the Malaysian Navy

Ex-Kd Sri Terengganu was commissioned on 16 December 1963 and gave sterlings service for 31 years, during which she has sailed 68,926 nautical miles, under the command of 24 different commanding officers.

The ship is a patrol boat ex-KD Sri Terengganu which was one of the patrol boats built for the Malaysian navy by Vosper Thornycroft of Portsmouth, England on 1961. After 31 years of loyal service, the ship was decommissioned and in 1994, The Royal Malaysian Navy agreed to transfer the ship as a donation to the Melaka Museum corporation for use as an exhibit at the TLDM Museum. The ship was refurbished by Naval Dockyard Sdn. Bhd. at a cost of RM160,000 before being moved to Melaka on 6 January 1996 by heavy sealift.
In fact later models of these PB's serve on with the Malaysian Navy based at Sandakan and on training duties and also with the newly established Malaysian Maritime Enforcement Agency (Coast Guard)
