Wandsworth Park (Grade II listed) was designed by Lt Col J Saxby (superintendant of parks) and opened in 1903 with playing fields and a planted corner in the south east. The 18 acre site which had been market gardens was purchased in 1898. In the 1920s a bowling green and tennis courts were added.
