Second World War 1939-1945, interesting place, war memorial
War Memorial honoring American Servicemen who lost their lives during World War Two in the Atlantic Ocean. Constructed in 1960, it features eight sawn-granite monoliths forming a mall, with rolls of those merchant mariners who died at sea off this coast in WWII.
