Bridgeport's Second Biggest Park. The 181-acre park, which includes the Beardsley Zoo, is listed on the National Register of Historic Places (NRHP) where it is designated a historic district. The park was designed by Frederick Law Olmsted, perhaps best known for co-designing New York's Central Park. It was established in 1884, with the zoo following in 1922.
