  • Former entrance to Agaric Company's mushroom farming enterprise from 1928. This occupied the eastern half of the mine. In November 1940 the Ministry of Works requisitioned the workings for wartime work. In 1926 the mushroom beds were destroyed by 'plaster' - a virulent virus also responsible for the closure of similar mushroom enterprise at Corsham.
