Ravaneshwaram is the most beautiful village to visit. The river "Chithari puzha" magnifies it's beauty. Its a very nostalgic place to visit. There is a story behind the name "Ravaneshwaran". It dates back to Thretha yuga, the time of Rama & Ravana. Its the place Ravana praised the lord ( Sandhya Vandhanam ) for long years. Thereafter, this place got the name Ravaneshwar, an ancient name. Its lies 4km South-East to Bekal fort, famous tourist pot.
