Established here at Port Newark in 1956, the Foreign Auto Preparation Service terminal is considered a pioneer in Automotive Pre-delivery Service (Mechanical, Transit Body Repair, Refinishing, Assembly and Modifications) in North America. Greatly expanded since it's inception on the grounds of the former Federal Shipbuilding Yard, the FAPS terminal now comprises over 250 acres and 600,000 sq ft warehouse processing centers at 8 locations within the terminal.
