  • Its a very nice and healthy place beside 'bhagirathi' river. Its a growing and historical area. This place has a historical name. The name is 'Baluchor'. The most famous indian Sari, called 'baluchori' was invented here. Not only that there are several historical incidents, which are attached with this place. Like the sacred story of famous Narottam das Thakur.

  • Actually the spelling of the town's name is Jiaganj not Jiajang. This is my only comment.

So we invite you to Njoy our small town with great historical interest. the route - 1. by car(kolkta(culcutta).india to berhampore(murshidabad by National Highway 34).Then berhampore to jiaganj(expected time 1hour)) 2.by train (Kolkata to jiaganj)a) lalgola passenger from sieldah to jaganj b) bhagirathi express (from sieldah to jiaganj) 3.by bus (the same route as car. Only difference is you have to change you vehicle after berhampore..)
