Built in early 1960s, it opened with Ghunghat. It had a run of many silverjubilee hits and prominent Hindi and later Telugu films. Pyaasa, Kabuliwala (Hindi) Mooga Manasulu Lava Kusha are some memorable movies. It is closed now, may be awaiting to become a superb residential complex. Yet it remains a landmark, even if the cinema hall is pulled down.It will be known as SV BASANTH
