Terminus of the 4 cross country 138kV, 25Hz transmission lines from the Safe Harbor Dam. Substation handled the phase break between the Baltimore power section and the Philadelphia power section. One of three substations equipped with 138kv on load breakers to isolate portions of the high voltage system.
