  • The greyhound has not had decent landlords since the local family owned it who's 2 daughters were both chefs. The food and atmosphere were top notch. Will take someone very special to make it as good as it was then!!!
  • I understand the Greyhound has gone through some difficult times of late, however it has recently been bought back from the brewery by some local business men. They in turn have done extensive reovations and have now let the property to myself. I grew up in this area and my father had the Wheatshef at Newton-le Willows in the 60s. I've been in the trade for the past 12 years and so have some understanding of village life and pub. My Head Chef has been in catering for 30+ years working in some of the best Reataurants up and down the country. I beleive our top notch local food and selection of local real Ales, fine Wines etc, offer our customers a return to the way it should be. I do know the family you spoke of, as I worked with them before they took on the Greyhound. Give us another try I'm sure you'll like it
