Elysian is a city in Le Sueur and Waseca counties, Minnesota. The population was 652 at the 2010 census.

The city was incorporated on March 2, 1883, and separated from the township on March 20, 1908; it had a post office called Elysium, 1856-58, which was transferred to Okaman, Waseca County, and in 1859 was transferred back.

A tornado packing winds up to 85 mph, touched down on March 19, 2012 up to 100 yards wide and 7 miles long. The second earliest date a tornado has been reported in Minnesota history.
