Howard Farm

The Howard farm is owned my Jack Howard, who lives on the main property in a house below his daughter and son-in-law, Nancy and Jeff Sims. The current 350 acre property was once over 4,500 acres and stretched from the rock quarry on Newport Hwy to New Center School. Today's farm is still in use and boasts four massive barns. There was once a sign on Jones Cove Road across from the property reading "Poor Boy's Farm," named for Howard's nickname at Alcoa, where he made more than his supervisor. Over 500 rolls of hay are sold here annually.
