Former commercial limestone quarry gifted to the city of Harrisonburg for use as an outdoor theater because of site's the near-perfect acoustics if used as a performance space. Used instead by the city as a police firing range and then as a dump site for construction debris. By the around 2005, the site was almost half-full of dumped infill.
