  • Naidkhai may be better place/ village but not the best. The village is predominantly agriculture based and the literacy percentage is low( only 45%) like other villages of the tehsil. The village is 36 kms away from Srinagar. The village was little known before emerging of Mohmammad Akbar Lone as winner in 2002 and later in 2008 Assembly elections as N C candidate. He was elected as Dy Speaker from 2002 to 2008, under PDP Government and as Speaker Legislative Assembly from 2008 today. He, of course, has added both name and fame not only to his native village Naidkhai but also to Sonawari constituency.
