Constructed in 1868, the Clock Tower is one of Leicester City centre's famous landmarks. Originally a traffic island at a 5-way junction (Gallowtree Gate, Humberstone Gate, Belgrave Gate, Church Gate and High Street), its immediate area is now pedestrianised.
