Wilton is a Township in Waseca County, Minnesota. The unincorporated community of Wilton Village was originally a bustling city and a major trading hub in the mid 1800's during the initial settlement preiod of Minnesota. It served as the County Seat until 1870. When the railroad came through Waseca a few miles to the north, the population and businesses soon followed, and Wilton was largely abandoned.
