Building with a rich history. Earliest written note from 1743 mentions "Comfort" inn ("Wygoda") existing at this spot. New masonry building was put up here in 1829, housing "Under Russian Tsar" inn until 1914, then "Silesian" inn and then "Ikar" bar.
Polish Red Cross opened a canteen for the poorest.

It is rumoured that Honore de Balzac slept here while on his way to Berdyczow to marry Ewelina Hanska.
