BOYAA (Barrio Obrero Youth Athletic Association) is the oldest existing youth organization in Manila which count among its members notable personnel in all fields of endeavor (arts, education, politics, etc.). This is the basketball court that has seen the likes of Tantay, Sagar Barria, Romy Diaz, PBA Star Players Atoy Co, Jun Padilla, Butch Bautista, Caloy Loyzaga, Chat Gallardo, Hermie Isidro, Mayor Mel Lopez, Herminio Astorga, Manny Jocson, Alcantara/Serzo brothers, etc. This was the pre-MICAA days when Yellow Taxi Cab (pre-YCO), Yu-Chu (the precursor of Yutivo) and Ysmael Steel used to play against each other in different fiesta leagues in City of Manila most notably, Obrero (Zone 17), Trozo (Zone 24-Tondo 2), Tanduay (Quiapo), Loreto, Solis (Santa Cruz), Moriones (Tondo 1), Paco (Plaza Hugo), L. Lupa, Almeda and Tecson.
