The Wellington W5375 of 12Sqn Royal Air Force was shot down over Ijsselmeer on the night of 9,April 1941 by Oblt. Egmont Prinz zur Lippe Weissenfeld (4./NJG 1)It was the 100th victory for NJG1.
The whole crew, including W/Cdr V Q Blackden 34 was KIA.
W/Cdr Blackdon is buried in LEMMER (Friesland)general cemetery.
