Built on a former kiln site/rubbish tip, the site was made park land in the early '90s. The park represents the borders of Canterbury, Ashbury and Ashfield, and is the highest point in the local area. There is a viewing rotunda on the hill with views to the city. Beneath the rotunda is a time capsule (possibly already opened in 2000?). The park is signed as a "nuclear free zone", presumably in the cause of the peace and unity theme. There are public barbeques and childrens play equipment. The paved area represents the historical kiln.
