A part of the site of the former wartime RNAS at Prestwick International Airport (Glasgow, later a part of HMS Gannet, has been sold by the MoD to Prestwick Airport. It is now available for hire as both commercial office space & residential accommodation by the airport, under the name Gannet Properties ltd. Gannet is situated on Tarbolton Road, Monkton, and extends to approximately 36 acres with approximately 14 acres allocated to buildings, roadways, car parks and landscaped area. There are two tennis courts together with a grass football pitch, gymnasium and squash court with the remaining ground laid out in grass. The site is bounded by secure fencing with access via Tarbolton Road.

The residential element of this site could be used as hostel, home or student/workers accommodation. Alternative use in conjunction residential could be used as a training/educational establishment.The commercial area has a wide variety of self contained light industrial/commercial and office units with car parking/yard facilities.
