Lunette House

The last remaining relic of the small village of Lunette. The brick portion was built in 1761, and the other section was added in 1895. There has been intense debate over what to do with the house, as many residents want the home to be torn down, while an agreement to save the facade was made between Loudoun County government and the developers, Greenvest LLC.

  • Before the final decision on what to do with the Lunette House, it was temporarily moved to a vacant lot in the newly developing Kirkpatrick Farm West housing community at 38°54′56.1″N 77°34′03.4″W (3000 ft west of this site). Later the final decision was to demolish the historical residential home. The site at the corner of Braddock and Supreme Dr. is now a Minnieland Childcare Center.
