Carouge is a municipality in the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland, with a population of 19,114 (2007). It was founded by Victor Amadeus III of Sardinia, King of Sardinia and Duke of Savoy on 31 January 1786.

Nowadays, Carouge is a dynamic district, sometimes called "the Greenwich Village of Geneva," full of shops and restaurants. Carouge is also renowned for its vibrant nightlife as there are many rather low budget bars to choose from.
