Torrigiani Garden (Florence)

Italy / Toscana / Florence / Via de Serragli, 146
 park, botanical garden

The Torrigiani Garden extends from the Viale Petrarca, with the old Arnolfi walls running on each side of the garden as far as the Piazza Torquato Tasso. Luigi Cambrai-Digny designed the gardens around the 19th Century, but they were completed by Baccani who also responsible for the neo-Gothic style tower. It was Pio Fedi who implemented the group of neo-classical sculptures for Pietro Torrigiani. The gardens are now in private hands but open periodically to the public. www.anitalyattraction.com/italy-attractions-eh/torrigia...
