A relatively untouched Italian community sandwiched in the valley that runs between South Oakland and the less busy part of Greenfield. Boundary St., according to some maps of the city from the mid-1800s, was an electric trolley line that ran from Forbes Ave. to Greenfield Ave.

Panther Hollow is host to a neat little parklett, an entrance to the Eliza Furnace Trail, an entrance to Panther Hollow Lake (over the train tracks – careful; they're still active) and lots of wildlife. There is also a parking lot, as well as easy access to both Pitt and CMU's campuses.

Awesome place to walk around, too. Very interesting old-world styled neighborhood.
