Manikanchan Special Economic Zone is one of the earliest greenfield SEZ providing world class infrastructure to the exporters of gems and jewellery. Located close to Kolkata Airport as well as Kolkata city, it has great locational advantage. The SEZ units are enjoying the best of infrastructure supported by host of service providers for hasslefree operations. Being a duty free enclave and deemed foreign territory status, both central and state goverment provide large no. of incentives and facilities.

The SEZ is a result of impeccable planning at every stage, from conception to execution, with close attention having been paid to every design in meticulous detail. Each feature has been thoroughly studied for its suitability, to both the gem and jewellery business and an SEZ requirements, before implementation.

To be built in 3 phases, the Park will have a total built-up area of 43842 sq.m. with 3 Standard Design Factories (SDF) and a Common Facility Building (CFB). Phase I has a Standard Design Factory, the Common Facility Building and a Canteen, Health Centre & Crèche building along with all the requisite infrastructure.
