This residential locality is located in the North-Eastern fringes of Kolkata. It is situated in the land area between Bagjola Canal & Keshtopur Canal, which forms the east-west borders of Keshtopur.

It is bordered by Salt Lake Ciy on to its west & south-west, Rajarhat to its south & south-east, Prafulla Kanan & Dum Dum Park to its north, while Narayantala is to its east & north-east. VIP Road runs to its north.

The Keshtopur crossing ie. the intersection of VIP Road & Krishnapur Road is the entry point for Rajarhat Megacity and faces the highest traffic and human congestion on VIP Road, making it an extremely accident prone area.

Krishnapur is one of the oldest localities under the Rajarhat-Gopalpur Municipality.

  • its nice place. i love kestopur. but the rajarhat-gopalpur's chairman is not switable for this area.
  • Very dirty and ill maintained area. Always infested by mosquitoes.
  • its wounderful to reside in Samarpalyy, kestopur in a calm and quite place beside canal side, green belt, nearer to city still village atmospheric.
  • Accident prone Krishnapur/VIP crossing has been aggravated by all around lthergy & apathy by administration.
  • Before 2/3 years this area was habitable,However at present it is congested due all around ,unplanned construction & opening of shops/establishments everywhere ;last but not least; presence of auto ricksha's & cycle ricksha's made driving a real nightmare.
  • Also called "Koshtopur" due to its famous, intolerable traffic jam one faces during any time of the day.
  • Kolkata Eso Natak Shikhi at BC 86, Kamal Park, Kestopur offers Free Theatre Workshop for Children.
