NRHP - National Register of Historic Places, religious camp meeting site
A Christian based campground. There are 99 tents arranged in a circle. Each tent is owned by a family or multiple families. The meeting occurs once annually, lasting for one week and ends the first Monday of October. At the center of the circle of tents is a large open sided pole building or Tabernacle. The tabernacle serves as the gathering place for worship. Two of the main food item consumed during the week are fried chicken and grits. This tradition is over 200 years old.
