  • I graduated in 1958. I joined there in 11th grade ( in the old system, it was last year of high school).The reason for the change was my previous school's 11th grade was not approved by the education dept., so we had to to look for another school and I ended up at New English School, Ramanbaug.There was another reason to join this school. My younger sister was in Ahilyadevi High School which was next door. Being non-brahmin, I was skeptical of my aceptance and there was good reason for this concerns. There were some disgruntle old students who were harasing new students but with the help of my friends we fixed that problem. Plus, we were busy with our studies. The school was excellent in math and science. I have been looking for my friend and classmmate Uday Joshi ( a new student who joined with me in 11th grade) who was from Bijapore and then attended Elphinstone College in Mumbai while I was at Wilson College, Mumai.
