Officially referred to as the "Joint Systems Manufacturing Center - Lima", it is a government owned, contractor operated manufacturing facility currently operated by General Dynamics Land Systems. This plant currently produces and upgrades M1 Abrams tanks and will be producing the new Marine Expeditionary Vehicle. This facility is a major employer in the Lima area with over 700 skilled labor positions.

This place was featured in Military Channel’s “G. I. Factory”, and National Geographic Channel’s “Ultimate Factories”.
