The village is steeped in history.The point at which the English armies of King Edward forded the River Dee to cross into Wales and subjugate the Welsh.Village church of St. Michael consists of several architectural styles end eras. The church walls show the striations made by bowmen sharpening arrows found in many places on the Wirrall.
