The Gasunie (gas union building) is a symbolic landmark of modern Groningen. This example of "organic" architecture was voted the most beautiful Dutch building in a poll run by Dutch newspaper Trouw. It is also called the ape-rock, de apenrots.
On the left side you see the parkingplace for workers and visitors of the Gasunie.
The Gasunie is the coordination centre for the natural gas transport.
