Treats the sewage from south Seminole and north Orange counties. The treated sewage water that isn't dumped into the river at this location is pumped to the Orlando Wetlands Park in East Orange County near Bithlo where it is dumped into an artificial wetlands and eventually makes its way to the St. Johns river.
