Coarsegold, California, a small town on the Southern Yosemite Highway. The population was 1,840 at the 2010 census. Until their deaths was home of tall (7'2") actor, Richard Kiel of James Bond movie fame, and Grace Lee Whitney, who was best known as Yeoman Janice Rand in the original Star Trek series.
